Durham Pagan Pride Day

Sunday, September 11, 2011

Durham Pagan Pride celebrates its 8th year this fall!

This year's event takes place Sunday, September 11th at Rotary Centennial Park in Whitby, Ontario, close to parking, transit and food. A children's play area can be found at the southern end of the park. Our event is family friendly, and a great opportunity to bring a picnic lunch and spend a day in the park playing games, attending rituals, making music, networking with fellow Pagans and celebrating the harvest with those in the Durham Pagan community and those who just want to learn more.

The organizing committee would like to remind attendees of the following from our Event Policies:

- No Alcohol
- No Drugs
- Bladed Ritual Tools restricted to authorized persons only
- No Pets, with the exception of working animals

Additional information can be found on our Event Policies page.

They would also like to remind you of things to bring:

- A blanket or chair to sit on
- A contribution to the potluck feast. Please list all allergens
- Plenty of water for yourself.
- Your own plates, cups and cutlery for the potluck feast.
- Drums or other musical instruments. No Amps please.

This year we have two very different rituals to share with the community, and an excellent line-up of presenters for workshops. Please see our Schedule for more details.

The event will kick off with an Opening Blessing, and the afternoon will feature workshops promoting this year's theme: "The Many Faces of Paganism", vendors presenting Pagan-friendly goods, and a pot-luck feast after the Community Ritual. As always, our Resource table lets you find information on local groups and events, where to find out about our community, local resources, Pagan traditions, and the international Pagan Pride Project. We welcome you to submit information about your group or event for inclusion on our Community Board.

Our food drive will support Simcoe Hall Settlement House in Oshawa, so we encourage you to drop a non-perishable food donation at our Resources table.

Come support our vendors, speakers and community!

We look forward to seeing you at Durham Pagan Pride 2011!
Blessings,
Kimberly Coley
